THE DIGEST

⚽ World Cup Stars Train in Your Backyard ⚽
Bosnia and Herzegovina's squad is in town for Friday's World Cup opener against Canada, and they've already made themselves at home. The team has been holding practices at Centennial Park in Etobicoke, while some players spent their day off touring Yorkville, shopping at KITH and strolling past Oliver's Jewellery. Friday's match kicks off the tournament for both sides.

🏰 The Most Extra House in Eatonville 🏰
Seven Appleby Court has a 1,000-pound front door, a wine cellar built with stone shipped from France, and 21-foot ceilings — and it backs onto Mimico Creek. The 15,000-square-foot Eatonville home is listed at $13.95 million, down nearly $3 million from its 2024 asking price. Realtors say it's a fit for a pro athlete or c-suite exec. The commute to Pearson? About 20 minutes.

🍭🧆 Yes, Meatball Lollipops. Free. This Weekend. 🧆🍭
Ikea's April Fools' meatball lollipop turned out to be real, and the Etobicoke location is one of six Ontario stores handing them out for free this June 13 and 14. The Chupa Chups collab is vegan (no actual meat, promise) and available while 40,000 supplies last nationwide. Ikea Family members also score a $1 breakfast on June 13 and a $50 coupon with a $199 purchase.

Last Week's Would You Rather Results
The votes are in, and Etobicoke has spoken: you're all secretly aspiring authors. Writing a bestselling novel ran away with it, pulling 75% of the votes. The remaining 25% was split between those of you who want to be a TV star or be a rockstar, and nobody wants to be a chef. (Respect.) One reader rejected the entire premise, which honestly might be the most Etobicoke answer of all.
