🥢 T&T Supermarket Snags Sherway's Old Pusateri's Spot 🥢
T&T Supermarket confirmed it's opening a 40,000-square-foot location at CF Sherway Gardens, taking over the lower level where Pusateri's used to be. It's the chain's 17th Ontario store, bringing fresh sushi, a hot food bar, an in-store bakery, and a K-beauty section to 25 The West Mall. Plus 120 new local jobs. The catch: you'll have to wait until summer 2027.
✈️🚫 South Etobicoke Fights Airport Expansion 🚫✈️
South Etobicoke communities along the waterfront are teaming up to battle the Ontario government's plans to expand Billy Bishop Airport on Toronto Island. Residents are joining forces to push back against the potential noise, traffic, and environmental impacts that could come with the expansion. It's a classic case of locals standing together to protect their piece of paradise against big development plans.
🧀 Martha Stewart Came to Toronto, Left with Cheese 🧀
When Martha Stewart touched down in Toronto for the Chai Lifeline Gala, Etobicoke's own Afrim Pristine of Cheese Boutique made sure she left well-stocked. Pristine personally curated a haul of French cheeses, cured meats, and Canadian standbys (including cheddar from Cows Creamery and Gouda from Mountain Oak) and even wrote her a note. Basically, Etobicoke didn't just make an impression, it made the cheese board.
