THE DIGEST

🏡 Beverly Hills Vibes in Etobicoke? This $13M Mansion Says Yes. 🏡

If “go big or go home” was a house, it’d be this 12,000-square-foot estate on Edgehill Rd. With a heated terrace, infinity pool, in-home theatre, and a wine cellar fit for 1,800 bottles, this Georgian-inspired dream home is giving luxury with a capital L. Custom European finishes? Check. A driveway big enough for a ball hockey tournament? Absolutely. If you’ve got $13.6M burning a hole in your pocket, this might be the one.

🎿 Etobicoke Couple Swaps U.S. Ski Trip for Canada Over Trump Tariffs 🎿

Catherine Ann Marshall and her husband Mike Manning had their ski bags packed for a trip to the U.S. next week—until Trump dropped a 25% tariff bomb on Canadian imports. Watching the fallout unfold, the Etobicoke couple had a change of heart. “We looked at each other and went, ‘We can’t go. We can’t support what’s going on down there and spend money,’” Marshall said. Within 24 hours, they scrapped their U.S. ski plans, rebooked at Mont-Tremblant, and even convinced their American friends to join them in Canada instead. Their switch is part of a growing wave of Canadians hitting pause on U.S. travel amid the tariff drama. And while Trudeau and Trump have since reached a temporary deal, Marshall says their decision stands—choosing Canada just feels right.

🍳Stamped Out: Loblaw’s Cookware Promo Leaves Shoppers Empty-Handed 🍳

Gina Vivian of Etobicoke spent nearly $3,000 on groceries, collecting 149 stamps in Loblaw’s cookware promo—only to find the shelves wiped clean. The popular program, which lets shoppers trade stamps for discounted pots and pans, has left many customers frustrated as inventory vanished before they could cash in. Loblaw says more stock is on the way, but with the promo ending Feb. 20, shoppers like Vivian worry their hard-earned stamps will be worthless.
