THE DIGEST

💍💥 Bling Sting Suspect Sought in Etobicoke 💥💍
In a daring heist, a jewelry store in Etobicoke was hit, with thieves making off with a hefty safe of sparkly treasures. The alleged culprit? 22-year-old Jose Cristian Ilie Parvan from Mississauga. Police are on the lookout for him, connecting him to the break-in where a silver Dodge Caravan played the getaway vehicle. The hunt is on, so if you've got the scoop, Toronto Police are all ears. Time to crack this case wide open! 🕵️‍♂️

🚊🐢 Slow Start for Finch West Line 6 🚊🐢
Finch West Line 6 faced a sluggish opening, with speeds slower than a jog. After public outcry, Mayor Chow announced signal changes to boost the LRT's pace. Despite initial delays and disappointments, improvements aim to make the multi-billion dollar project live up to its promises. With hopes for faster travel times, locals are eyeing further upgrades to turn this turtle-paced transit line into a true rapid option.

🕳️ Pothole Pandemonium 🕳️
CTV News Toronto asked Torontonians to spill the tea on the city's worst potholes, and the submissions are in. From a bus stop pothole turned tidal wave generator to an “especially bad” pothole on New Street in Etobicoke, residents are not holding back. Etobicoke’s Sunnylea Avenue East and Prince Edward Drive South intersection also made the list. With nearly 3,700 pothole service requests in March alone, the city is scrambling to keep up—but watch out for those 15 tire-destroying divots on Hwy. 401.
