Etobicoke’s art scene just got a warm, new addition! A stunning 12-foot installation named Campfire was unveiled at Humber Bay Shores, celebrating the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and their deep ties to the land. Crafted from Corten and stainless steel, the sculpture stands proud near the water, inviting visitors to take a moment to gather, reflect, and feel the spirit of Indigenous placekeeping.

Locals like James Dean worry about losing a community staple that has introduced generations to the magic of movies, while disability advocate Sean Guptill emphasizes the cinema’s importance as a safe space for his program participants to learn life skills.
