THE DIGEST

🚗 Fast & Furious Meets Etobicoke 🚗
In a scene straight out of an action movie, a driver fleeing a shooting in Etobicoke crashed into a fence and bolted on foot. Toronto police were called to the sound of gunshots, finding evidence of a shooting near a commercial property. The suspect, after a wild chase, crashed near Eglinton Avenue and Royal York Road before disappearing into the night. No injuries reported, but the suspect remains at large.

⛵️💥 Yacht Club Showdown Unfolds 💥⛵️
Coun. Amber Morley's promise to shut down the Toronto Humber Yacht Club sparked relief among locals but devastation for its 70-year-old members. Despite eviction notices, the club might sail on thanks to impassioned petitions and support from conservative activists. Accusations of environmental harm and aggressive behavior have set the stage for a fierce battle, with the club enlisting a conservative strategist to fight its closure based on vague environmental concerns.

🐾🚫 Tragic Coyote Attack in Etobicoke Backyard 🚫🐾
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a beloved French bulldog named Newman was tragically killed by a coyote in an Etobicoke backyard. The devastated family is urging the City of Toronto to take action, worried that without changes, more pets—and potentially even children—could be at risk. Toronto Animal Services is responding by increasing patrols, putting up warning signs, and educating residents on coyote safety.

🎲 Would You Rather Results: Pothole Edition

And the votes are in...

D is the winner, followed by B.

Turns out Etobicoke would rather float over potholes than fix them. A bold and very understandable choice.
